Scientists Revealed Terrifying Truth about Antarctic

Scientists Revealed Terrifying Truth about Antarctic

One of the things I find most striking is the presence of Antarctica on ancient maps because we didn’t discover it until 1820 and yet it’s on maps drawn in the 1500s with great detail which again were based on much older source maps that have now been lost to us.

Um the astonishing thing is the the so-called Pinkerton world map.

I don’t know if you can if you can find it Jamie.

Uh drawn I think in 1813 or 1818 based on the latest exploration data at that time and where Antarctica is.

Antarctica is Yeah, that one.

Keep going right. That one it just shows a hole where Antarctica is cuz they did.

It was an honest map.

Nobody had found it by then.

But if you go back to for example the Walsy Wooler world map drawn in 1530 or thereabouts, you find Antarctica is present.

If you can find Walty Müller world map, it would be worth taking a look at.

Um, Orontius Phineas. Go for Oranteius.

O R O N T U S.

Phineas. F I N A E U S.

The Arontius Phineas map. That map shows shows Antarctica exactly where it should be.

And it shows it. There we go.

Mhm. Right hand side. There’s Antarctica at the tip of South America.

Just south of South Africa.

Yeah. And what did they call it back then?

Well, they call it the Southern Land.

Um, and it’s and it’s larger than it is today, but it was larger than it is today.

During the ice age, Antarctica was a much bigger.

thumbnail

Now, what the [ __ ] is it doing on a map drawn in the 1500s, which we know was based on older source maps when nobody knew it existed in the 1500s.

To me, the obvious answer is we are dealing with the fingerprints of the lost civilization that mapped the world and that left evidence of that mapping which ancient map makers found and used and incorporated into their maps.

These maps can be very confusing because they were trying to mix exploration data from their own period with data from the older maps.

Have you ever heard of New Schwabin Land?

New Schwabinand? You’ve never heard of New Schwabinland?

No. Have you ever heard of Operation uh High Jump?

I knew I was going to love this podcast.

[laughter] No, dude. It’s operation high jump.

What does that mean? Okay, so at one point some people are like, “What’s going on with Antarctica?

Have you heard this?” Where they sent Admiral Bird up.

What’s going on in Antarctica?

Yeah. So, the US government’s like, “Something’s going on with Antarctica.

There’s some activity up there.

We want to find out what’s going on.”

So they send this cat named Admiral Bird up to investigate with a giant fleet like a just a a fleet to go to go bang, bro.

You know when was this?

I think this was in the uh when was Eisenhower in Was it the 50s?

Yeah, it was like right around like just uh either around World War II or right after it.

And so they send Bird up to go find out.

And according to his journal that they found much later, he he basically met with UFOs, Nazi UFOs.

43 m,000 m an hour.

Yeah. Boom. Into 2 m thick ice.

2-m thick ice. Have you Let me ask you a question.

Have you heard of the Carolina Bays?

No. Okay. This is This is a great one because this ties into that and this is like one of those things that nobody knows about, but it’s a feature that’s everywhere.

And so up and down, if you search for Carolina bays, Jamie, all up and down the east coast, it’s not just the Carolina, there are literally millions of these geological features.

They’re they’re literally bays. They’re elliptical bays.

The whole landscapes littered with them.

We started to notice them with the advent of aerial photography.

And then when we started doing LAR flyovers, we start to see them under everything.

Millions of them. We also that’s on the the East Coast.

Then over in Missoula, we have what’s called Missoula rainwater basins.

And millions of them all over the all over the landscape.

Yeah, look at that. It’s Carolina base.

And they’re they’re everywhere. They range in size from pretty small to pretty big like miles in diameter.

And they’re all elliptical. They’re all like a conic section.

Now, what do they think?

Look at that lighter one is really good.

What do they think these are?

So, there’s been some debate and one of the mainstream um opinions is that they’re well, they’re wind and sand eolian lacrian solution created.

Uh the there’s none of the experiments along the lines of wind uh can back this up.

The interesting thing about these is that they’re all oriented in a specific direction.

And what turns out is that there was a study done cuz a guy went and mapped out thousands of them and and lined them up.

And it wasn’t until he took into account the corololis effect, so the spin of the earth that all all of a sudden all these lines the orientation of these bays all lined up at at at around Sagonal Bay.

So, which would have been buried in ice.

The Nazis had a like a flying saucer h had made a deal basically working with inter you’ve never heard this.

No, it’s the greatest story ever, bro.

It’s the greatest story. The Nazis made a deal with the aliens.

Yes. Holy [ __ ] For technology and the deal was they were going to work together.

Okay, I know this sounds crazy.

So, basically the aliens go down and and Claus Schwab’s dad go down and meet with Eisenhower.

It’s going to be like we could we could either do it one way or the other way.

We can do it nice or we can do it the wrong way.

And that’s where they say Eisenhower made a deal with these aliens that they could kidnap people and do experiments, but they couldn’t just do it anywhere.

They had to they had specific places which were our national forest.

What? Yeah, dude. You’ve never heard of this.

[laughter] You’re making this sound as if this is like a story that is common place.

It Well, for my people it is.

Jamie, help count me out here.

Have you heard the story?

Brand new. You’ve never heard of this?

[laughter] I have. You’ve never heard of Operation High Jump.

Bro, I feel like I’ve heard of that, but I haven’t.

Not in this context. This sounds amazing.

Please keep going. And this is where the missing 411 come from.

The missing information. What missing information?

No, the missing 411. What do you mean by that?

Which is all these people have mysteriously disappeared in force and they don’t know.

You’re not talking about the missing 411 like information.

No. So missing 411 is the number of people that have been abducted.

Yeah. And it it’s all really weird because they all have like a lot of similar characteristics.

German born like German background, excuse me.

Highly intelligent. And it like I don’t know how weird you want to get, bro.

But I want to get weird.

Okay, bro. They think like the this might be some time traveling Nazi [ __ ] bro.

[gasps] So, here’s the here’s the theory that that comes out about the Carolina Bays is that there was a massive impact into the ice and it it basically threw up splash damage of ice boulders the size of baseball stadiums on subor orbital trajectories that then created this saturation bombardment and liquefification of the entire east coast and over there in Missoula uh of the entire land.

Like it’s and that that image Jamie in that uh lower left hand Oh, I have a I have a laser pointer.

Yeah. [laughter] Jimmy, give me a laser pointer.

I brought one. How’s this bad boy?

The gift that will keep on giving.

What do I have to do to give?

Just press that button. Oh, yeah.

Rip off the little plastic thing.

Rip out. It’s like a safety.

Oh, no. Just rip rip out the battery.

The little cover here. You can use this one.

It’s ready to go.

Okay. Show me how to fix that.

Okay. So, this one right here.

Whoa. Jesus. I know. Crazy, right?

They’re reflected back and the [ __ ] [laughter] out of you.

This is the real deal.

So, is that what they look like in real life?

Uh, they’re they’re more they’re they’re more elliptical than that in general.

So, if you look at the LAR imagery, but a lot of them Yeah.

And so, they’re overlapping as well.

I can’t see, bro. I’m going to be shooting this thing at airplanes later.

[laughter] I got one that best $18 I’ve ever spent on Amazon ever.

I got I got one that’ll pop balloons.

Really? So much. Oh, dude.

I bought a few years.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. It’s It comes with It comes with a little case with safety goggles.

You got to put them on from this show.

[laughter] I learned so much.

I’ll bring it. So these these are What is that in real life?

Is that does it actually look like that?

It depends. Some of them are just farmland.

Some of them are still lakes.

They have bodies of water in them.

They mostly show up with LAR.

Um Oh, look at this.

James, there are a few spots on Google Earth.

Yeah, you can see them on uh on Google Earth.

There’s Well, that’s right there.

That’s that’s that’s more of a a natural lake, but they’re they’re literally everywhere and they overlap.

The whole landscape’s made up of them.

Didn’t they find most of them through LAR though?

They started to see them with aerial photography and then LAR.

They just turned up everywhere under farmland.

Picture background

I wish I if I could I didn’t send you the photos of the bays uh with LAR, but the it’s just the the crazy story about their creation is that these are splash damage from a cosmic impact into the ice and they think it may be related to the younger dry.

So, one of the impacts into the ice kicks up massive ice boulders that are coming in at like, you know, 6 or 7 km/s that take seven or 8 minutes of these, you know, ballistic trajectories to come down from Sagenor Bay and then just all over the all over the east coast and Missoula and it it would have exterminated anything that lived there.

It literally liquefied the ground.

The ground would have the earth the earthquakes and the impacts would have turned the ground into quicksand.

I know you’re going to think I’m crazy, but it’s true, dude.

That’s what they believe and they made a deal.

These they folk who who when you say they believe who are these they folk the conspiracy people are they united on No there’s a whole different there’s a lot of waring clans bro [laughter] there’s a lot of waring clans dude but that was how deep do you want to go what is interesting is how advanced the engineering of the Germans was you know it’s really interesting when you think about car manufacturers like Audi and Volkswagen Mercedes It’s all out of BMW.

BMW. Didn’t BMW make engines for Nazi fighter pilots.

I think that’s what they first started off.

They all did. But I think that’s what BMW did, right?

Yeah, 100%. And then we were Audi made Hitler a car.

Yeah, Hitler had a race car.

That was never part of their marketing plan, though.

That would have been a crazy campaign.

What does it say there?

1939 BMW 801D. Piston piston radial aircraft engine and national origin is Germany.

So planes in that year they made World War II planes.

They made engines for World War II planes.

This is wild, man. I mean IBM was making stuff for these camps too, dude.

It’s crazy. Yeah. Like they had computers.

We’ve talked about that before.

Yeah. Right. What was that?

There’s a book. Uh what did they do?

They were make it was the precursor to actual computers.

It was like a uh filing system to keep track of stuff.

Yeah. Of who was where and what into these camps.

That’s right. I’m remembering this.

And and then you Oh, yeah.

Man, it gets super weird.

But the book was called IBM, right?

Was it called something else?

I think I think it was IBM book.

Yeah, the book is called IBM and the Holocaust.

The strategic alliance between Nazi German.

I mean, you ain’t [ __ ] around with that title, huh?

That title is rough. Yeah, dude.

[laughter] If you’re straight to the point, [ __ ] did we do that?

Did we really do this?

The strategic alliance between Nazi Germany and America’s most popular powerful corporation expanded.

Like we see in we see in the aftermath of earthquakes, you have cars that are half buried in mud.

Like it literally liquefies the earth and it was just a saturation bombardment on the east coast and it’s people now just, you know, we play golf on them and it’s all this stuff.

But there it’s a it’s a catastrophic landscape the entire east coast which is likely off the coast as well.

So there here this image is what?

Yeah, this is from South Carolina’s government page talking about it.

Carolina base. So you see they’re ellipse they’re elliptical.

They all orient in a certain direction and so the conventional explanation is wind.

Wind and and basically water.

Yeah. But it doesn’t there’s none of the experiments make sense.

There’s a guy on YouTube um Antonio Zamores.

He’s also written a paper on it and a couple of books.

But he shows that yeah it’s there’s always been a bit debate about them.

It’s it’s but but the by far the best I think explanation for them is the is the ice ice boulder hypothesis.

It’s crazy to think about it like you know impact happens over here 8 9 10 minutes later you just have this rain of just destruction coming from the sky that that obliterates the entire coast of the of the United States.

That’s what you’d expect if there’s something that hit at at a high speed and and of course there would be fallout.

Things would get sprayed about it.

It would make sense to find that if the younger driest climate impact hypothesis is true, there would be something like that.

They’ve done experiments. Yeah. So they’ve like you you you shoot like a bullet into ice at an angle and you it shows like the shattering of ice and the and the the the orientation.

So we can step backwards from the bays and look at okay what’s the energy required for the impact and at what angle was the impact coming in?

And they it’s something like it would have been probably a mile wide impactor uh up at Sagonal Bay that might have ejected that much ice to do that.

We’re so vulnerable. [laughter] We’re so vulnerable and we like to think that this is all permanent.

I mean, you think about how ridiculous human beings are.

We spend most of our lives accumulating stuff, trying to get status, trying to, you know, [ __ ] as many people as we can and get the biggest house.

And meanwhile, there’s rocks headed our way that are going 45,000 m an hour that could exterminate 90% of the population instantaneously and completely erase every little bit of information we’ve ever accumulated.

All the knowledge, all of our history, all of our understanding of physics, mathematics, the astronomy, everything gone.

See you. Goodbye. Welcome to being a [ __ ] ape man again.

Welcome to like eating whatever the [ __ ] you can get your mouth [laughter] and dying when you’re 12 and having people try to steal all that from you.

Yeah. So the the area [clears throat] and of Antarctica they went to was New Schwabin land.

New Schwabin land. Do you think that’s why he dresses with the space?

100%. So they’re all in contact with the aliens.

I think well dude I mean it gets into see a lot of people think this is about power and money.

What do you think it’s about?

It’s spiritual war dude. This is these people got all the money and all the power.

They got more than they could ever want.

I think they want complete control.

But that gets in spirituality.

Not just complete control but lowering your vibration and and jacking your luch.

Do you [clears throat] think they’re doing that consciously or do you think they’re doing it like they’re chasing the economics and along the way it actually becomes a spiritual battle because everything is a spiritual battle?

I think it’s done purposely.

I think they’re they’re evil.

I think I think they’re they’re a low low there’s low frequency stuff going on and they’ve made deals with people and things and that’s why I think’s going on.

That was very ambiguous, but I understand where you’re going with it.

Okay. I mean, if you want me I just don’t want to get too weird too fast, bro.

But I’m like, we just opened up.

We’re good. I uh I 100% believe this is spiritual war and that these people are working with dark entities and that’s what this is all about.

Let’s imagine this. If there was like uh an alien race that came here from another planet and gave just a random group of people uh technology.

Yeah. Gave them an understanding of things and how to do things.

How much of a record do you think they would keep of that?

Wouldn’t that be something that people would want to talk about?

Yeah. But that but that’s the beauty of the internet that we’re now able to do that.

We could never do that before.

So that you think that’s what the story is about?

That the story is about they went there and they met with aliens and the aliens gave them information.

I mean Hitler was really into the occult.

Yeah. Like he would send people all over the place.

He had a lot of bad ideas.

Yeah. He had a lot of bad ideas.

But see the occult has a negative connotation to it.

Not everything involved with the occult is negative.

What the occult really means is secret.

Secret. So there’s not as much word mean.

Yeah. It’s basically mean it means like it’s hidden.

I I always associate it with people that believe in silly [ __ ] When someone starts talking about the occult, I’m always like, “How do you feel about ghosts?”

You know, how do you feel?

But like when people start start talking about like dark magic, I’m like, “For real?

You sure?” I believe in that there’s some energy manipulation, but I don’t disbelieve.

Yeah. I don’t disbelieve. Listen, I like I I I I don’t know what’s going on.

I just kind of read stuff and I’m like, how does this fit into the puzzle, right?

How does this fit into the jigsaw of life?

15. Subterranean lakes. Several subsurface lakes have been discovered in Antarctica, which seems impossible given the continent’s heavy ice cover.

Radar surveys in the 1970s revealed previously unknown locations, some of which included an estimated 400 lakes covered by about 2 mi of ice.

The lakes are thought to have originated after Antarctica broke away from the ancient superc continent Gonduana land.

The weight of the ice sheet prevents freezing in the lakes.

The environment of deep lake in East Antarctica is quite unique.

Its waters are as salty as those of the Dead Sea and the high salt content even keeps them from freezing.

Picture background

There are a lot of threats to the sentient beings who call that place home.

For instance, penguins shouldn’t swim in this lake because it’s considerably colder than the ocean and can kill them.

The only organisms that can survive in such a frigid setting are the microscopic ones.

In 2012, Russian researchers bore through over 2 m of ice to reach an unusual substance hidden beneath Antarctica’s icy surface.

The largest subglacial lake on the continent is Lake Vastto, which doesn’t make much sense.

The researchers who took samples from the water even detected extraterrestrial life, which is just plain odd.

Due to its isolation for millions of years, Lake Vastto has a bacterium that is genetically unrelated to any known bacteria on Earth.

It’s like the opening scene of a horror film about the release of a plague.

But skeptics said the samples were contaminated by drilling fluids.

In 2015, the same crew returned to the site to drill again.

But this time, the scientific community still wasn’t convinced.

Perhaps because they hadn’t released a plague.

They discovered yet another strange microbe that seemed like it came from another planet.

A second lake, as remote and with the potential to sustain life forms unlike anything on Earth, was announced to exist beneath the Antarctic ice sheet in 2016.

This is a bad way to begin something worthwhile.

14. Bloodfalls, Taylor Glacier in McMmero.

Dry Valley produces a vibrant red five-story cascade that empties into Lake Bonnie.

Like blood spurting from a broken ice vessel.

Beginning around the turn of the last century, this red liquid flow in the midst of the snow kingdom has baffled experts.

The blood waterfall was initially uncovered in 1911 by an Australian geologist who also launched the hunt to explain its name.

But now scientists know what’s behind this strange occurrence.

Once a saline lake, the water that supplies bloodfalls is now sealed off from the atmosphere by a thick layer of glaciers.

The water is three times as salty as salt water has been stored for 1,300 ft below ground and will not freeze because of its high salinity.

While the ocean is full of iron, it lacks oxygen and sunlight.

Iron in the water oxidizes and rusts as it comes into touch with the air, turning the water a deep red color as it seeps through a crack in the glacier.

The water’s tint was eventually traced to an underground lake containing oxidized iron not far from the waterfalls.

Issue resolved. Only by helicopter or cruise ship can you get to this strange spot in the Ross Sea.

13. Unusual creatures. Antarctica is a frozen wasteland where rain is rare, winds are strong, and temperatures can reach -29° F.

Yet, it is also home to a wide variety of rare and exotic plant and animal species.

A number of bizarre creatures that have adapted to the extreme conditions found beneath the vast ice sheets have surprised scientists.

Microbes, crustaceans, enormous squid, spiders the size of dinner plates, and massive worms with golden bristles and huge sharp tothed jaws are just some of the creatures that inhabit the universe.

Even transparent ice fish exist.

Their translucent skin reveals their interior organs, and their eyes are enormous.

Fish with antireeze glyoproteins die in warmer temperatures.

They also lack the protein hemoglobin which gives our blood its characteristic red color.

12. Prehistoric fossils and tropical forests.

Once upon a time, Antarctica was a warm and rainy place.

Antarctica is a very old continent that through millions of years has changed immensely.

Antarctica was formerly a balmy place with rainforests and possibly even civilizations before it became a frozen desert after the ice age.

Fossilized wood, evidence of tropical trees, and preserved leaf impressions support the idea that there were once extensive rainforests in Antarctica.

Fossils of Cretaceous era marine life, birds, and dinosaurs have also been discovered in large numbers.

Four wings of a beetle that lived between 14 and 20 million years ago in a warmer temperature have been found fossilized and tiny single-sellled fossils have been a huge subject of controversy among experts.

An astounding discovery that scientists are hoping may yield fresh evolutionary insights is the discovery of sperm cells in the egg case of a worm species that went extinct 50 million years ago.

11. Range of the Gambertv.

You might believe Antarctica is extremely cold, dull, and most importantly flat due to the ice sheets that cover most of the continent.

But there are mountains hiding beneath all that dull ice.

Underneath Antarctica’s immense ice sheets is a gigantic mountain range among other mysteries.

The Gambertv mountains are covered by an ice sheet that is 2 to 4,000 km thick.

Over a distance of 750 mi, you can find peaks that are over 10,000 ft in elevation.

For well over half a century, researchers have been aware of the Gambortev mountains.

After their discovery by Russian explorers in 1958, the mountains were given their current name in honor of Soviet geoysicist Gregori A.

Gamorsev. While exploring Antarctica, the scientists came upon a patch of thin ice and recorded unusual gravity changes which illuminated the astounding phenomenon below.

Although humans have never seen the mountains in person, scientists have been able to map their topography with radar and investigate their subterranean structure with the help of gravitational and magnetic readings.

They claim the range resembles the Alps and magnetic anomalies indicate that the peaks were likely heaved up from billion-year-old granite between 250 and 100 million years ago.

That time period is significant because it was during the reign of the dinosaurs and it gives us reason to believe that the world still has wonderful surprises in store for us.

The Gambertv’s formation and continued existence have long perplexed scientists.

The mountains are estimated to be over a billion years old, so they should have been eroded away by now.

There are several hypotheses as to why they have not been eroded away, but one popular one is that they are protected from the elements by a frozen mantle.

10. Ice that sings. In Antarctica, a huge chunk of ice is making beautiful music.

When it comes to Antarctic ice shelves, the Ross ice shelf takes the cake.

It extends over a region of nearly half a million square kilm which is roughly the size of France and is several hundred ft thick.

Researchers have found that the winds flowing across the snow dunes on the Ross ice shelf create an unsettling tune.

Surface vibrations and near constant seismic tones are produced by the winds.

Human ears can’t pick up the vibrations, so scientists employ seismic sensors to listen to the sad music.

After installing seismic sensors on the ice shelf to study other behaviors, scientists accidentally uncovered the song.

Scientists have recently learned that the music adapts to weather and climate changes like snow melting and storms rearranging the landscape.

They are currently employing the song to track the ice shelf stability and susceptibility to collapse in real time by listening to the seismic humming.

Nine. The enormous gap. In 2017, Antarctica experienced the opening of a chasm the size of Ireland.

The hole is not unprecedented.

Nonetheless, it is the largest palinia observed since the 1970s and the first to open in 40 years at a span of 30,116 square miles.

Deeper, warmer, and saltier water in the wet sea in the southern ocean is responsible for the formation of the palinia.

This occurs when ocean currents carry warm water to the surface, causing the top layer of ice to melt.

The Antarctic atmosphere dips and cools when it comes into contact with the surface water only to heat up and rise again.

There is some speculation among scientists that marine mammals use the pinas as breathing holes.

Scientists are still trying to fathom the effects of these enormous enigmatic holes.

Eight. Ascent of Arabus. Several volcanoes may be found in Antarctica despite the icy climate.

Ross Island is home to four volcanoes, all of which are dormant with the exception of Mount Arabus, whose volcanic activity has intensified over the past 30 years.

Mount Arabus is an incredible natural phenomenon bubbling over the past 1.3 million years with magma and lava lakes.

It is the tallest active volcano in the world at 12,467 ft and the second highest in Antarctica.

Mount Arabus is too far away and has too much risky weather for scientists to visit very often.

But in 2013, a team of scientists succeeded in ascending the volcano.

They climbed the volcano, encountering snow, boulders, and glaciers along the way, and discovered life thriving in the volcano’s intense heat.

It is said that these extreme species are among the rarest in the world, and that they were found in a number of ice caves where soil microorganisms were thriving.

Seven, ocean in the south.

In the year 2000, the southern ocean officially became the fifth ocean on Earth.

It is the fourth largest ocean and completely encircles Antarctica.

Together with the southern regions of the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans, it plays a crucial role in driving global ocean circulation.

It’s approximately twice the size of the United States and has a maximum depth of around 23,950 ft.

It’s possible that the key to absorbing carbon emissions lies in this mystery ocean.

Researchers have determined that the Southern Ocean has taken in 15% of all humancaused carbon emissions.

That’s a lot, but it won’t continue forever, and researchers are moving swiftly to figure out why.

Those who choose to travel to Antarctica by ship will sail across the Southern Ocean, witnessing the raw strength of the sea from the ship’s observation decks as they approach the Antarctic Peninsula for the first time.

Six valleys of Mcmero dry ice.

When most people think of a desert, they picture hot, sandy plains.

However, Antarctica is actually the largest desert on Earth.

The average annual precipitation is less than 2 in and the climate is extremely windy.

99% of the continent is covered in ice.

McMurto dry valleys are located in the remaining 1% and there you may discover enormous sand dunes that can be up to 230 ft in height and 656 ft in width.

These dunes may not be good for sandboarding, but they are very significant to science.

Because of their Martian-like climate, the dry valleys are of great interest to scientists looking for clues to extraterrestrial life.

The dunes, however, are migrating at a worrying rate of about 5 ft every year.

Scientists attribute this to climate change, which they say leads to the melting of ice and the erosion of sand dunes.

Before the dunes disappear forever, scientists are racing to solve their riddles.

Five fungi in Antarctica. One endemic fungal species is among the many microbes and extreophiles found across Antarctica.

This Antarctic fungus has adapted to the cold circumstances by feeding on the centuries old wooden cabins left behind by the early explorers despite the fact that fungi generally thrive in warm forested settings.

It has been revealed that a new species of fungi is feasting on petroleum seeping from gasoline containers abandoned by explorers.

Scientists are interested in these unusual organisms because the fungus they produce may one day be utilized to clean up massive oil spills.

Four harmful bacteria lies beneath.

Microbes living beneath the Antarctic ice and bacteria living in the ice itself have both been discovered by scientists.

Bacteria identified in ice samples are old with some dating back as far as 420,000 years.

However, researchers are still unsure as to whether or not this represents a working ecosystem or simply disordered centers of life.

It is also unclear to scientists if the ice just preserves the bacteria until the ice melts or whether there are active microbial communities present within the ice.

The question of whether or not these microorganisms pose a threat afterward arises.

There’s a good chance of that happening.

Perhaps we are progressively unleashing Pandora’s box by ignoring global warming.

Three. Methane lurks below. Icy bubbles in Canada’s Abraham Lake are reportedly mesmerizing.

If so, have you ever pondered their nature or purpose?

It’s a form of frozen methane produced when microorganisms consume organic substances in water.

Methane, a greenhouse gas even more dangerous than carbon dioxide, is aesthetically pleasing when frozen, but poses a major threat to human civilization.

Large quantities of methane are currently trapped under Antarctic ice, but their release could be catastrophic if glaciers continue to melt.

It’s entirely up to us, after all.

Two, meteorites from long ago.

Meteorites can be found in abundance in Antarctica.

Even though meteorites can fall anywhere on Earth, they are more commonly discovered in Antarctica due to the dry freezing climate.

Since very few rocks actually grow naturally on the ice sheets of Antarctica, the dark meteorites are also easier to see on the bright white surface of the ice.

Picture background

Because the huge ice sheet in the East Antarctic has remained motionless for such an extended period of time, meteorite discoveries there are exceptionally fertile.

This displays the much older ice as well as the enormous meteorite concentrations.

Since 1976, scientists have gathered more than 20,000 meteorite samples from space.

The largest meteorite recovered in East Antarctica in 25 years was discovered in 2013 by a team of Japanese and Belgian experts.

The weight of the alien rock was astounding, coming in at a whopping 40 lb.

Over the course of 40 days, the team looked for meteorites and uncovered 425 totaling 165 pounds.

A chunk of Vesta and a Martian meteorite were among the finds.

One lost city, Nazis, and alien invasion.

Antarctica has long been the subject of speculation and conspiracy theories due to its mysterious nature.

Many individuals think that Antarctica formerly hosted or currently houses extraterrestrial life because of the presence of elongated skulls, weird pyramids, alien spaceships, bizarre constructions, and a massive staircase.

Dozens of UFO sightings are reported each year, and Google Earth has caught what many believe to be alien activity.

Keep your eyes alert for any strange green lights in the sky.

This is prime territory for those seeking extraterrestrial intelligence.

We know that hundreds of lakes lie dormant beneath the Antarctic ice.

But what if there’s more?

Is it possible to envision a city buried beneath the Antarctic ice?

Antarctica is still a mystery since no one has ever explored its depths.

The legendary city of Atlantis is thought to lie frozen beneath kilometers of ice.

People have speculated that the frozen continent holds the Atlantean capital.

Since Antarctica was as warm as Los Angeles is now, and since it would have been an ideal location for a city, it is not unreasonable to assume that people once lived there.

The last ice age, which froze the continent solid, put a halt to any civilization that may have developed there.

Therefore, it is possible that some sort of society existed in Antarctica before the ice age, albeit whether or not it was the lost city of Atlantis is unknown.

After the ice age buried the continent, the city would have been forgotten.

However, it would have flourished when Antarctica was a balmy tropical zone.

A civilization may have once flourished in Antarctica, but it has not been established that this was the location of the legendary lost city.

Some have even speculated that Hitler himself escaped to a hidden hideout in Antarctica’s subterranean regions after the war ended.

Some others believe Hitler did not commit himself, but instead fled to Antarctica, where he oversaw the construction of a base from which Germans would launch lunar missions.

Despite the urban legends to the contrary, the Germans did explore Antarctica and establish a secret outpost 960 km from the North Pole.

It’s no surprise that Hitler explored Antarctica in pursuit of the fabled spear of destiny.

Given his penchant for enigmas, he even sent an expedition to India and Tibet to find it.

The Nazi base in Antarctica didn’t last long.

Its people perished after eating poisoned polar bears 70 years ago.

Despite the hypothesis being debunked, curiosity about Antarctica’s hidden depths remains high.

The Great White continent is the planet’s most mysterious and unexplained region.

And despite the best efforts of scientists everywhere, we may never uncover all of its mysteries.
