The former two-time unified world heavyweight champion and the ex-Disney star are set for a shock boxing match in Miami on December 19.

After Paul’s planned November exhibition with Gervonta Davis was canceled due to fresh allegations of domestic abuse against the WBA lightweight champion, ‘El Gallo’ and Netflix were left scrambling for a replacement.

To the surprise of many, they landed at the door of ‘AJ’, with Paul set to box Joshua in a professional heavyweight match at the Kaseya Center.

Dana White has joined plenty of big names in predicting a violent and unsuccessful night at the office for Paul, but one of his promotion’s greatest fighters of all time is not counting the polarizing YouTuber-turned-boxer out.

Jake Paul has built up his record by sharing the ring with past-their-prime MMA stars and boxing veterans, including Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

In the main event of Netflix’s first live boxing event, Paul beat Mike Tyson in a controversial clash that only increased criticism of the Cleveland native’s boxing venture.

Many of Paul’s detractors have long been waiting for him to share the cage with a legitimate test that brings a knockout onto the table, and that is certainly the case against Joshua.

But while they are hoping to see the heavyweight powerhouse flatten Paul, UFC flyweight GOAT Demetrious Johnson wouldn’t be surprised if the opposite happens.

“I think Jake can knock him out,” Johnson said on his YouTube channel while interviewing Sean O’Malley.

“Anthony Joshua’s been knocked out by some weird a— shots before. Andy Ruiz…(Daniel) Dubois knocked him out with a short overhand right. Jake Paul can land one of those shots. He can!

“If Anthony Joshua doesn’t get on his bicycle, start moving around, and fight Jake Paul like a boxer…make Jake Paul work, make him miss.

“Yeah, he can destroy Jake Paul, but I don’t see that happening. I think he’s gonna try to prove a point. … I feel that Jake Paul can potentially knock out Anthony Joshua.”

Fans quickly reacted to Johnson’s breakdown of Paul’s showdown with the heavyweight powerhouse, and it is safe to say that plenty disagree with him — strongly.

A number of fans roasted the legendary former UFC flyweight champion on social media, with some accusing ‘Mighty Mouse’ of having the worst takes of any ex-fighter.
